* If the Grand Prize winner resides in the New York City tri-state area, limousine service will be substituted for air transportation and bride will take gown home. No other substitutions will be made. Winner and guest will be responsible for transportation to their local airport. Trips must be taken on dates specified by Sponsor; dates are subject to change. Via the Internet - You may enter the Sweepstakes by accessing the entry screen at www.theknot.com and by fully completing and transmitting the on-screen entry form to Sponsor at www.theknot.com before 11:59 PM PT on April 30, 2003. Your full name, address, city, state, zip code, email address, age and complete response to the five (5) survey questions are required for entry. One entry per person/email address, regardless of method of entry. Persons who submit more than one entry (by mail and/or email) will be deemed ineligible to win the Sweepstakes. An entry made via the internet will be deemed to have been made by the "authorized account holder" of the email address utilized at the time the entry is made. For purposes herein, the "authorized account holder" refers to the person assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses. By Mail - You may enter the Sweepstakes by mail by legibly hand-printing your full name, complete address, telephone number and email address (if you have one) and your age on a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" postcard (only 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" postcards will be considered eligible) and mailing your entry with postage affixed to: The Mr. Coffee® WIN Your Dream Gown Sweepstakes, c/o The Knot Inc., 462 Broadway, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10013. Mail-in entries must be postmarked no later than April 30, 2003 and received by 11:59 PM PT on May 5, 2003. All email and mail entries will become the property of The Knot Inc. and will not be returned. Neither The Knot Inc., Sunbeam Products, Inc. nor Kleinfeld Bridal, singularly and/or collectively is/are responsible for transmission and/or computer error or mail entries that are late, lost, misdirected, illegible, mutilated or that have insufficient postage. The Knot reserves the right to modify the scheduling of the Sweepstakes and/or the Sweepstakes drawing without prior notice. SELECTION PROCESS/ODDS OF WINNING The winners of the Sweepstakes will be selected in random drawings from all eligible entries received (both email and U.S. mail) on or about May 6, 2003. The selection of the Grand Prize winner may occur on a national or local television broadcast. The winners will be notified via email and/or U.S. mail on or before May 12, 2003 using the contact information provided on the entry. Each entrant is responsible for the accuracy of the information included in the entry. All prizes included in the Grand Prize and second and third prize categories will be awarded. The decision of the judges selected by the Sponsor to conduct the Grand Prize drawing shall be final and conclusive in each instance. The odds of winning a prize will be determined by the actual number of eligible entries (by mail and email) received. The name of the winners of the Sweepstakes will be available after May 30, 2003. ELIGIBILITY This Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia), 18 years or older who at the time the entry is submitted are physically present in the United States, are engaged to be married and whose wedding is scheduled to occur after [10/15/03 but not later than 12/31/04. Employees of the Sponsor, the promotional companies and advertising agencies participating in the Sweepstakes, and employees of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, and any persons involved in the creation, development, implementation of this Sweepstakes and/or any other persons or entities directly associated with this Sweepstakes and members of their immediate families and/or their households ("Sweepstakes Parties"), are ineligible to participate. Entries for the Sweepstakes drawing [whether sent by postcard or via the Internet] must be received prior to the expiration of the Sweepstakes Entry Period. This Sweepstakes is void in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and wherever prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. CONDITIONS Neither The Knot Inc., Sunbeam Products, Inc., Kleinfeld Bridal and/or the participating promotional companies are in any way liable for any damage, loss, or injury resulting from computer malfunctions, misdirected or incomplete entries, or acceptance and use of the Grand Prize. Winner assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Sweepstakes or the use or misuse of any prize. The Knot Inc., Sunbeam Products, Inc. and Kleinfeld Bridal each reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the online portion of the Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, or other causes beyond the control of sponsor corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is incapable of being conducted as contemplated herein for reasons such as infection by a computer virus, The Knot Inc., Sunbeam Products, Inc. and Kleinfeld Bridal at their sole discretion, reserve the right to modify, revise or cancel the Sweepstakes and conduct the drawing from all salvageable Internet and Mail entries received. Entries shall become the sole property of The Knot Inc., Sunbeam Products, Inc. and Kleinfeld Bridal and will not be returned. The winners of the Sweepstakes will be solely responsible for all costs/incidentals not specifically covered by the Grand Prize as specified above. Prizes are not transferable or assignable. The cash equivalent of prizes will not be substituted. Each prize winner is responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and/or local laws and regulations, including, without limitation, the payment of all applicable taxes. By accepting a prize, the winner grants each of The Knot Inc., Sunbeam Products, Inc. and Kleinfeld Bridal permission to use their name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without any additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants shall be deemed to have agreed to having their entry information made available to the Sponsor. Each winner will be notified by telephone and/or by mail and/or email. If a prize winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible and/or fails to claim their prize within 7 days of notification the selected winner will forfeit the applicable prize and an alternate winner will be selected. EXECUTION OF RELEASES AND/OR OTHER DOCUMENTS The winners of the Sweepstakes may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility, provide additional information and (where legal), a publicity release which, documents if requested by Sponsor, must be completed and provided to Sponsor within 14 days of the date of Sponsor's request or an alternate winner will be selected. Additionally, each winner of the Sweepstakes and Grand Prize winnerıs travelling companion(s) (his/her parent or legal guardian, if the winner is considered a minor although nevertheless 18 years of age or older) must sign a liability release. Each affidavit and release requested by Sponsor must be signed, notarized, and be received by The Knot Inc. within 14 days of receipt of such documents for completion by the applicable winner. Noncompliance within the prescribed time period may result in disqualification and an alternate winner being selected. Grand Prize winner and travelling companion(s) must possess valid travel documents in order to travel.The acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for The Knot Inc., Sunbeam Products, Inc. and/or Kleinfeld Bridal to use, worldwide and in perpetuity, without further compensation to the winner, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including, without limitation, on the Internet (unless and, in such case, solely to the extent prohibited by law) the winner's name, address (city and state but not their street address), photos, likenesses, biographical information, statements, and voices. Additionally, upon request by The Knot Inc., Sunbeam Products, Inc. and/or Kleinfeld Bridal, prize winners shall make themselves reasonably available to enable the Sponsors and/or their designees to write articles and to issue promotional and publicity releases about the applicable winner, which articles may be disseminated on the Internet and/or print and/or broadcast (radio, television) media, for promotional purposes and\or to enable the Sponsor to photograph and videotape the winner, including, without limitation, at their wedding, and disseminate such photographs and videotapes by any and all media for promotional purposes. Sweepstakes is subject to these Official Rules. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants and winner agree to waive any right to claim any ambiguity, inequity or error in the Official Rules of the Sweepstakes, and/or of the Sweepstakes itself, and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of the Sweepstakes judges appointed by The Knot Inc., which in all respects shall be final and binding. back | ||
