David had nine groomsmen who all wore black tuxedos with white shirts. The men also wore bowties and suspenders to complete the formal look.

The couple participated in a few traditions during the ceremony, one being the lighting of the unity candle. Also, the couple placed the bottle of wine they made in a wooden box along with a letter to each other to be opened at their 10 year anniversary.

On her wedding day, Paula wore a lace, mermaid dress with a sweetheart neckline and a crystal belt. David wore a tuxedo with an off white jacket and black pants from My Suit. His bowtie, suspenders, cufflinks and shoes were all by Paul Stuart.

The reception took place at the Hempstead House in Sands Point. Dinner was an elegant black-tie affair with simple decorations ranging from numerous candles to black pearls.

For the table decorations, there were black chandelier candles with black pearls hanging from them and tablecloths made of black and gold sequins. The silverware was gold as well and candles covered the tables.

The bride and groom sat at their own small, round table during the reception. The table had a gold chevron tablecloth and black pearls hanging from candlesticks.

For escort cards, Paula and David printed names and table numbers on used silver drink shakers for a unique touch.

The table numbers were printed on gray and white chevron paper. Also printed on the table numbers was the wedding hashtag for guests to Instagram their photos to.

The newlyweds' table had their names printed, as opposed to a table number. The centerpieces  were not floral, but instead were candlestick chandeliers with black beads, accented by gold plates.

Paula and David's first dance was to the song, "Superman" by Robin Thicke. For the first two hours of the reception, the couple had a live old-school "crooner," Brian Newman. Later in the reception, there was a DJ who played more modern dance music.

The wedding cake was by Nine Cakes in Brooklyn, NY and it was a simple three-tiered chevron round cake.

Paula and David wed at the Hempstead House in Sands Point, New York at a beautiful outdoor ceremony. The couple incorporated elegant 1920s-inspired details such as lace parasols carried by Paula's bridesmaids and black chandeliers at the reception.
