The ceremony took place outside of a barn, beneath two oak trees. The stone altar was decorated with rustic ladders, pumpkins and mums for a vintage look.

During the ceremony, the couple's families gathered around them to pray as one united family. "I felt so much love and support during the prayer," says Shannon.

A variety of vintage pieces, including a stack of suitcases, were on display at the reception. Topped with old books and a colorful arrangement of flowers, the vignette added visual interest to the space.

Shannon wanted bouquets that would last long after the ceremony, so she found an artist on etsy.com and had her create a gorgeous felt bouquet in autumn colors. "I still use my bouquet during the fall in our house as a table centerpiece," she says.

The couple worked with a designer to create stationery with a rustic, vintage vibe. The end result was a relaxed, colorful suite that was highlighted with interesting fonts and textures.

The couple designed their own wedding rings, which complemented the engagement ring Bryan proposed with.

The centerpieces were a rustic grouping of old books, small pumpkins and amber bottles filled with wildflowers in autumn hues.

Shannon didn't make her bridesmaids wear matching gowns; instead she asked each to choose a dress that complemented the fall color palette. The groomsmen wore gray pants with mustard yellow ties and suspenders.

Fall is Shannon's favorite season, so an autumn wedding was a natural choice for the couple. With a color palette based on colorful leaves, the day had a decidedly rustic vibe.
