Inspired by an idea from their planner, Pat and Billy asked each of their married guests for a vintage photo of their wedding and placed them in gold frames.

Billy wore his late grandfather's ring while Pat's was custom made to look like his father's wedding band.

"I picked up on the art deco details of our venue's signage over the front door and incorporated that style into our event," Billy said.

Billy's mom handmade more than 30 mercury glass lanterns out of Mason jars and LED lights. They added a soft glow to the reception.

Billy asked his grandmother to make her famous cheesecake. "I grew up eating that delicious cake at every family event and couldn't imagine having our day without it," he said.

Both Billy and Pat's families baked assorted cookies for their guests.

"Since we were having an evening wedding in the heart of December, we kept the overall theme dark, but warm," Pat said of his winter nuptials at 632 on Hudson, their art deco venue in Manhattan, New York.
