Deanne’s five bridesmaids wore delicate crème lace halters with satin, midori-green skirts. For accessories, the groom’s mother made the ladies green stone and pearl earrings.

The flower girls pulled the couple’s nephews in a Radio Flyer wagon draped in burlap and sea shells. The tots sported light green rompers with their initials embroidered on the front.

With help from family, the couple handmade their fan programs with a starfish motif and tied the handles with green and sand-colored raffia bows.

Deanne and Will cut into a gorgeous three-tiered confection decorated in quilted fondant, pink dots, and pink and green ribbon. A cluster of pink and green hydrangeas topped the cake.

The couple took their first spin across the dance floor to “Lucky,” by Colbie Callait. “It describes our love for each other and it sounds beachy,” says Deanne.

Deanne & Will in Jekyll Island, GA

After graduating from Georgia Southern University, Deanne decided to take a substitute teaching job in her hometown, until she could find full-time work. When her friend Wendy, who also worked at the high school, introduced her to one of the coaches, Deanne felt an immediate attraction. So did Will. The two went on their first date the following weekend. “He swept me off my feet!” says Deanne. The Bride Deanne Veal, 25, a teacher The Groom Will Winston, 26, a teacher and coach The Date August 1 After a year of dating, Will planned an intimate proposal at his family’s home. “I said yes of course and we were both so excited we kept hugging and kissing!” The two spent the next three months planning a beautiful beachfront wedding.
