Candice wanted a wedding that wasn’t too girly but was still romantic and beautiful. She came to Guérard with just two pieces of inspiration: the photo of the vineyard wedding featuring green garlands, and the look of her teal bridesmaid dresses. From there, she let Guérard run wild.

Armed with a photo of a California vineyard wedding that inspired the couple, event planner Tara Guérard transformed an old plantation for their April nuptials. Embracing the gorgeous outdoor setting, Guérard put her own spin on the greenery shown in the picture by adorning the tent with a dramatic grid of lemon leaf garland. Casually chic place settings and flowers played into the bride’s desire to avoid anything too fussy or formal.

Guérard gave the party a relaxed yet refined feel with decorative touches like upholstered lounge furniture and umbrellas embellished with scalloped trim to match the bride’s gown. Wrought-iron drum shades hung from above, and table lamps provided a warm ambience.
