Cake designer Buddy Valastro (of TLC’s Cake Boss, although the couple hired him before the show) created a white fondant treat, decorated with sugar flowers in the form of peonies and hydrangeas. The top tier was a white cake with lemon cream and fresh strawberries. The bottom two tiers were black and white cakes with hazelnut cream.

To many, successful blind dates seem to be a thing of urban legend, but for Samantha and Andrew, it was the beginning of their lives together. The Bride Samantha Davis, 33, a medical sales representative The Groom Andrew Elliott, 43, an operations manager The Date May 30 Three years after being set up by a mutual friend, Andrew’s parents hosted a New Year’s Eve dinner for both families, and in front of everyone, Andrew told Samantha he wanted their love to continue growing and that he would be honored to have her as his wife. Samantha, although in complete shock, was overwhelmed with joy and said yes. The New York natives wed on the roof deck of Studio 450 at sunset and celebrated with a reception in the adjacent solarium, where the 150 guests watched the sun set behind the Manhattan skyline -- a theme that also carried throughout the décor.
