Anne & Sean in Hingham, MA

Anne and Sean met when mutual friends introduced them in 2004, just before the Red Sox won the World Series! They hit it off immediately and began dating, and then moved in together a couple of years later. After they unpacked, Sean began what Anne called a “soft launch” of actually getting engaged; he’d slip in “What ifs” into their conversations, and even started calling her his wife. “I was like, ‘Slow your roll, Sean!’” Anne jokes. The Bride Anne Harris, 31, a talent manager The Groom Sean Mathey, 30, a law student The Date September 26 The official proposal came when Sean asked Anne to grab a drink at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City, where they were living at the time, and then steered her toward the elevator instead. When they got to the room he had reserved, she found champagne waiting for them -- and a ring.
