Wanting all her bridesmaids in the same dress, Erin selected a few different preppy styles in a shade of orange and then—to keep things democratic—let them decide. “Since we were all in different places, the whole process was via email. Luckily, they all agreed,” she says.

“The flowers were a big part of the motif,” Erin says. She carried a bright burlap- and lace-wrapped bunch of calla lilies, tulips, roses, baby’s breath and peonies. Her sorority pin and a guardian angel pin—borrowed from her mother—were sentimental additions to her bouquet.

While venue shopping with their parents, the couple saw a few signs for something called The Barns. They stopped by the next day and fell in love. "It was the exact rustic look that we wanted and really just a beautiful location inside and out," says Erin. "The date was available so we booked it that day, on the spot."

The couple was married in a traditional Catholic ceremony in a small chapel on the grounds of St. John's Catholic Church in Leesburg.

Erin's dress was a lace fit-and-flare with beading on the satin belt detail. The low back and high lace neckline with cap sleeves added drama without being over-the-top.

In lieu of place cards, ornate frames held lists of guests' names along with the coordinating table number.

The custom wedding logo was etched on Mason jars for custom water glasses at the reception. Guests took the glasses home at the end of the night, along with burlap bags filled with Route 11 potato chips and Whitley's Virginia peanuts.
