Lauren chose blush chiffon dresses for her bridesmaids, but she let them pick the style. They settled on three options, with two girls wearing each style. "It worked out beautifully!" Lauren says.

The doors of Lexington Presbyterian Church—Lauren and Cody's ceremony site—were decorated with large floral wreaths.

Lauren's brother walked her down the aisle at their traditional church ceremony. The bride's father passed away from cancer, so they sang his favorite hymn, "Amazing Grace," during the ceremony as a tribute.

Lauren illustrated this chalkboard sign that welcomed her guests to the reception. "I wanted to put my own touch on as many elements of our wedding as I could," Lauren says.

"I wasn’t the kind of bride who wanted a spelled-out theme for her wedding, but I imagined it feeling like a charming, Southern garden party," Lauren says. Large blooms in bright shades of pink helped achieve this atmosphere.

Guests took home potted succulents wrapped in craft paper, tied with a pink ribbon and adorned with a tag letterpressed by the bride.

The couple's key lime and almond amaretto cake had a simple, subtle dot pattern. The bright peonies "added the drama," Lauren says.

The bride wore a strapless Sottero and Midgley ball gown with a corset bodice and sweetheart neckline. Lace and chiffon flowers along the bottom added extra romance to the dress.
