Elizabeth used a piece of lace from her mother’s wedding gown to wrap her bouquet of orange and white roses, white hydrangeas, and lime-green orchids. She adorned it with a six pence and vintage rhinestone brooches.

Elizabeth had no idea she was attending the same university as the man of her dreams. Elizabeth and Michael both went to Denison University in Ohio, but didn't meet until two years after graduation. Elizabeth was living in Denver when a mutual friend introduced her to Michael. Soon after, Michael invited her to a 4th of July party and five years later, they got engaged. While visiting the Portland Classical Chinese Garden, Michael popped the question, but Elizabeth was too shocked to respond. "Then he spun me around and got down on one knee and repeated, 'Elizabeth, will you marry me?'" she says. Elizabeth replied with a teary "Yes!"
