Close friends since medical school, Carly and Daniel were both matched to New York City for their residencies and continued to spend time together, exploring the city. When Carly’s friend asked her to be a bridesmaid in her wedding in Anguilla, she invited Daniel as her date and the rest fell into place. He came to visit over New Year’s, but Carly had to work an overnight shift and went straight to bed afterward. As she slept, Daniel filled the apartment with roses and eventually woke her up with a very special marriage proposal.
