Rebecca handmade her bridesmaids’ vintage-style purses two days before the wedding! She accented the gold bags with tortoise shell handles and large rhinestones.

Rebecca’s dream wedding evolved from the bright yellow, empire waist bridesmaids’ dresses she had envisioned of all her life. The ladies carried smaller, multicolored bouquets to complement the color scheme in the bridal bouquet.

The couple used card stock and vinyl stickers to make their own ceremony programs. They replicated the font, colors, and graphic design images of the wedding invitations to keep the look cohesive.

Rebecca and Will exchanged vows in a traditional church ceremony, with the sun streaming through the stained glass windows. “It did not disappoint our ‘Your Are My Sunshine’ theme,” says the bride.

After the holidays, the couple scored a great deal on the glittery gold branches that inspired their DIY centerpieces. With a miniature nest base and golden birds, each arrangement was personalized with a hand-stamped wedding label.

Instead of a traditional guest book, the bride painted a portrait of the couples’ engagement photo in her signature pop art-style and let the guests sign it with yellow paint pens. “You can see the messages up close, but from far away it looks like subtle texture,” says Rebecca.

After a mishap with their first baker and only a week until the wedding, Celso’s Cakes saved the day with a gorgeous four-tier confection, decorated with the couple’s signature tattoo-print birds and yellow flowers.

The couple raided every Cost Plus World Market store in the Atlanta area for their mini-glass favor jars. They filled them with Lemonheads and personalized them with their wedding signature.

To incorporate their love of music into their favors, Rebecca and Will gave out mix CDs of their favorite songs. “They looked like mini vinyl records!” says the bride.

As far as their company was concerned, a relationship between Rebecca and Will was out of the question, but the two exchanged glances for two years. When Rebecca decided to start looking for another job, Will invited her to display some of her paintings at an art party he was hosting. Sparks flew and she soon had a new job -- and not long after that a new boyfriend! While the camera clicked in front of a church on Emory University campus, Will dropped to his knee and pulled out a ring. “People have asked me if I went back and staged that and I am so proud to tell them ‘No!’” says Rebecca.
