The bridesmaids carried all-white calla lily bouquets. Audrey walked down the aisle with a bouquet of fresh-cut red roses wrapped in ivory satin ribbon and a pearl necklace that belonged to her mother.

Audrey and Donny’s escort cards doubled as favors. Audrey used red paper to wrap boxes filled with wine stoppers, then printed guests’ names on ivory paper and mounted them to black card stock.

The table cards were printed on ivory paper with a black design at the bottom, and were mounted to black cardstock. The black-and-white combo matched the bridesmaid looks.

Ivory linens covered the reception tables, which were decorated with votive candles. The ivory-colored linens and simple table decorations let the red centerpieces stand out.

Each reception table had an all-red arrangement of roses, tulips, or gerbera daisies. The vases varied too, from cylinders to squaresto bubble bowls for an eclectic style.

Audrey and Donny didn’t really want a wedding cake, so they served The Gem’s signature chocolate mousse instead. The guests didn’t mind the change!

Audrey and Donny lived down the street from one another while growing up in Grosse Pointe but never knew each other well. Years later, they talked all night at a party hosted by mutual friends and went on their first date the following weekend. More than a year later, Audrey and Donny had already talked about marriage, but his Valentine’s Day proposal completely surprised her.
