Rather than mirroring the dark Gothic architecture of the unique event venue, Ron Wendt and his business partner, Philip MacGregor, went completely in the other direction. White, airy décor created a stark contrast that allowed the ornate space to speak for itself and actually stand out more.

Michele & Daniel in New York City

The perfect combination for a New York bride and her European beau? This sleek and chic soiree hosted in a historic old-world setting (it housed a synagogue in the 1800s). The streamlined design, starring Lucite accents, modern orchid displays and cool blue lighting, made a powerful pop against a backdrop of Gothic architecture. The crisp white palette kept things light for a city wedding held in the heat of August.
The Bride Michele The Groom Daniel
Oversize paper lanterns, sleek votive candles and lots of throw pillows got the party vibe started as guests ascended to the balcony for the cocktail hour. BELOW Although the well-dressed couple opted for a New York City wedding, Michele and Daniel actually live in Europe full-time.
