Pastry chef Amy toyed with the idea of making her own wedding cake but decided to turn the reins over to someone else once she was consumed with wedding planning. It turned out to be the right decision, as the couple was delighted with their triple berry, vanilla buttercream cake with six stacked, square tiers divided by fresh orange pave roses.

Trays of orange shots called “Fuzzy Squirrels” were passed around to guests before entering the tent, where poster-size photos of Amy and Jeremy acting goofy and doing the “Robot” were hung for everyone’s enjoyment. “It made everyone laugh and really got the party going,” Amy says. They capped the night off with a bonfire complete with s’mores.

Upon leaving the wedding, guests were given a little white Chinese box with orange ribbon that was filled with glazed donut holes. The treats were a gift to the happy couple from Amy’s friend from culinary school.

Amy & Jeremy in Santa Monica, CA

After several months of being friends and cubicle neighbors while working at E! Entertainment, Amy and Jeremy's platonic relationship began to morph into something bigger. The Bride Amy Askins The Groom Jeremy Berman The Date July 8 As their friendship grew, they slowly realized how much they enjoyed spending time together, “and then one day it hit me,” Amy remembers…“He’s really hot!” She decided she needed to reveal her feelings to Jeremy, and waited until their all-important holiday party (and after a few cocktails) to make her move. In a private moment behind the fire exit doorway, she planted a kiss on him. By New Year’s Eve they were an item; and the rest, she says, is history.
