Square escort cards were displayed in simple rows on a table outside of the conservatory. The identical cards matched the style of the invitations and place cards. They were made of heavy card stock in citron green and lined with ivory paper. Each guest’s name was printed in a mocha-colored font.

Since Amy and Kevin both have a sweet tooth, their guests received monogrammed, cellophane bags filled with daiquiri-flavored gourmet jellybeans at each place setting.

Rochester has always been one of Amy’s favorite cities, and the Royal Park Hotel satisfied their "destination" idea. The hotel itself was an amazing combination of elegance and glamour, from the white-gloved doorman to the spectacular glass conservatory and fabulous views of Paint Creek from the restaurant patio.

Kevin literally could not wait to ask Amy to marry him. On the night before a weekend getaway that Kevin had planned for the couple, the pair met some friends for dinner. Kevin took the ring with him to show one of his friends while Amy wasn’t looking. It was all Kevin could do to keep his mind off the ring, and after deciding that he just could not wait until the next day, Kevin altered his plans. As they left the restaurant, Kevin secretly told all their friends to meet them at a bar around the corner. He then suggested to Amy that they take a walk in downtown Lansing, despite the freezing temperatures.
