Ruby wore her hair up in a soft, romantic low-swept bun secured with crystal pins (which were actually clip-on earrings!) that her mother found at an antique store.

The ceremony was held outside in the Sculpture Garden of the museum in Julie Davis Park with the Rose Garden in the background. Cocktails were held in the large gallery, which opened to the outside so that guests could admire the art.

Ruby and Jeff’s first dance was to “Lovin’ in My Baby’s Eyes” by Taj Mahal. The couple had only practiced the first dance once, a few nights before the wedding.

The kids at the wedding sat at a table complete with crayons for drawing on the white butcher paper, bubbles, and stickers.

Lilac linen napkins were placed between the chargers and the plates, giving the tables a touch of color. In keeping with the neutral color theme, the centerpieces were low square glass vases with white roses, white dahlias, hydrangeas, and other white and cream flowers.

The four-tiered white cake with Italian meringue buttercream frosting had swiss dotting around each layer and a cascade of fondant roses wrapped around the entire cake.

The couple’s send-off in front of the Boise Art Museum was full of sparklers. The getaway car took the couple to the low-key after party at Chandeler’s Steakhouse.

Though Ruby and Jeff met in seventh grade, they didn’t start dating until senior year of college. Four years later, Jeff proposed on Denman Island near the eastern coast of Vancouver Island. The Bride Ruby Squyres, 27 The Groom Jeff Redshaw, 27, medical student at University of Washington The Date August 14, 2010 Ruby and Jeff knew they wanted an elegant wedding that was fairly traditional yet laid back. After choosing the venue, they remembered that the first time they spent time alone together was at BAM for an assignment junior year of high school. They worked with a relatively neutral color palette and in the end used lavender as an accent color.
