Both of Mara’s bridesmaids lived out of state, so she sent them pictures of eight Bill Levkoff dresses and told them to pick the one they wanted and order it in burnt orange taffeta. Mara’s mom added a leaf-print sash to the flower girl’s satin dress so she’d fit the fall theme.

Mara & Tyson in Ann Arbor, MI

Mara had just moved back to Michigan when she met Tyson online through Yahoo! Personals. After chatting for a few days via computer, the two scheduled a first date -- coffee on a Sunday afternoon. Coffee led to lunch, and then Tyson took Mara for a ride on his motorcycle. They ended up at a cider mill, where they drank cider and ate doughnuts. When she got back, a bouquet of flowers was waiting for her by the door to her apartment. Fast-forward 14 months -- Tyson proposed on a ferry ride while the two were visiting Mumbai, India, for a friend’s wedding. The couple started planning an autumn celebration so they could use the season’s colors.
