Guests enjoyed a family-style meal at Eve, the couple's favorite restaurant. Formerly a grain mill, the dining room featured exposed brick walls draped with white curtains. The tabletops were draped with white tablecloths, while places were set with green napkins and a single jade orchid.

In honor of their honeymoon, the couple designed a white cake with a green dotted line motif topped with vintage luggage and a sign that said, "Next Stop: Peru." The three-layer confection was filled with vanilla and chocolate cake with fresh raspberries.

Aruna and Steve met at work, but it was their mutual love of nature, adventure, and travel that brought them together. They were immediately drawn to each other, built a solid friendship, and eventually dated on and off. It wasn't until they both relocated to Seattle that the relationship became serious. The Bride Aruna Mall, 27, freelance art director The Groom Steve Busch, 40, creative director The Date September 23 On New Year’s Eve, Steve surprised Aruna with a leather-bound journal that read "A Life's Journey Together" pressed into the cover. The front page had a handwritten letter from Steve, and when she turned the page she had a feeling it was going to be a happy new year. Large holes cut through the pages revealed three rings -- one from Steve and two to represent his children -- with the words "Will You Marry Me?"
