About a mile in, they stumbled upon a stone cottage with a fire burning in its fireplace -- Tony suggested they check it out. Betsy walked in to discover candles everywhere, a blanket and picnic basket, champagne, mistletoe, and ornaments tied to the wood rafters. "I immediately thought, We have to get out of here now," says Betsy. "I thought we'd walked in on someone else's surprise!" When Tony got down on one knee, she realized it was all for her.
