Cheryl & Brian in Newport Beach, CA

When Cheryl and Brian met at a mutual friend’s summer barbecue, the chemistry was obvious -- especially to their friends. “It was cute because whenever they would invite one of us somewhere, they’d make sure the other was coming as well,” says Cheryl. Little did she know that Brian was just scheming the entire time for reasons to “randomly” run into her. The Bride Cheryl Bolitho, 30, project coordinator The Groom Brian Shepherd, 28, fire suppression technician The Date May 28 They shared their first kiss as Brian walked Cheryl to her car one night after a Fourth of July bash, and have been inseparable ever since. Six years later, during a romantic picnic on the beach at Corona del Mar, Brian proposed.
