Cody held a natural, loosely tied bouquet of blue delphiniums, thistle, Queen Anne's lace, and hypericum berries, designed to look as if she'd gathered the flowers in the meadow where she was married.

The bridesmaids carried colorful green and raspberry bouquets accented with white ribbon.

Thayer wore a boutonniere comprised of blue thistle to match the blooms used in Cody's bouquet.

On each guest's chair sat a little homemade box wrapped in birch bark, which was filled with wildflower seeds for guests to throw as Cody and Thayer came down the aisle. Each box held a message: "Happiness held is a seed. Happiness shared is a flower."

The couple opted for less floral decor and instead relied on the natural beauty of the surrounding area.  
Makinley, the couple's black Labrador, stood by Cody's side during the ceremony. "When we were trying to walk back down the aisle she stood right in the middle of Cody's train," says Thayer.

The reception tent was adorned with 80 white paper lanterns and lights that morphed slowly from raspberry to blue to green.

Five different types of centerpieces topped tables, including bright green button mums and raspberry-colored ranunculuses surrounded by river rocks.

The tall, five-tiered cake was covered in a pin-tuck pattern and accented with edible raspberry-colored pearls.

For their first dance, Cody and Thayer rocked to Chris Daniels and the Kings.

Although Cody and Thayer grew up just a mile apart in the same Florida town, their paths rarely crossed. In fact, the pair hung out in different crowds, and when it came time for college they went to rival universities. Finally, one lucky night at a local bar the two finally felt a spark and exchanged phone numbers. The Bride Cody Morris, 27, second grade teacher The Groom John Thayer Haydon, 30, commercial and residential developer The Date June 9 Three years later, Thayer proposed on Easter Sunday by telling Cody that, while she looked beautiful, something was missing -- an engagement ring! Soon afterward, the two began planning a destination wedding at Cody's family's ranch in Steamboat Springs.
