Cheryl Lilley, who works on the ranch, created the flower arrangements for Delinah and David. “I put faith in her, and they were everything I could have dreamed!” Delinah says. Many of the arrangements included non-floral elements like peacock feathers and coffee beans, which perfectly matched the wedding colors.

Delinah Horst and David Reed met through a mutual friend who brought David to White Oaks Ranch (owned by Delinah’s family) for a day of fishing. “I can still remember when he first said hello,” Delinah says. “He looked away real fast and turned back towards me with a big smile -- it was love at first sight.” Delinah and David spent the day together, and for the next week spent every single night talking on the phone until well after midnight. They saw each other again at a surprise birthday party for Delinah’s father, and at that point they knew they were inseparable.

The Bride Delinah Horst, 29
The Groom David Reed, 33
The Date September 30

The couple dated just eight months before David proposed. “David told me he would always love me, take care of me, and that he knew from the first time he saw me that I would be the one,” Delinah remembers. After an engagement of just four months, the couple wed with a celebration at the ranch where they’d first met.
