A last name wasn't the only thing Elisa and Michelle had in common. They shared friends too and first met at a mutual pal's birthday party. They didn't get to talk much there, but Michelle got Elisa's email address. The two exchanged emails and Elisa came to Michelle's birthday party a week after they met. They went on their first date soon after. The Bride Elisa Stone, 46, teaching program coordinator The Bride Michelle Stone, 34, English teacher The Date July 26 On their one-year anniversary, they went for a walk around Berkeley Marina. Though Michelle wanted to go back to the car, Elisa insisted that they head to a grassy knoll—that's where she popped the question. To return the favor, Michelle surprised Elisa with a ring two weeks later.
