The traditional Catholic ceremony took place at a beautiful church just three blocks from Elizabeth and Kevin's apartment.  "It was nice to get married in the same neighborhood where we had lived for the past seven plus years," says Elizabeth.

Elizabeth finished her look off with strappy gold Manolo Blahniks. Her tip: "Wear gold shoes instead of white. I have gotten subsequent use out of my wedding shoes -- unlike friends who wore white satin shoes."

Following the nuptials, Elizabeth and Kevin exited the church amid the sounds of bagpipers. "They attracted a crowd of locals and people watching from their apartment windows," says Elizabeth. "It was pretty cool."

The newlyweds hopped into a black antique Rolls-Royce for a scenic tour of the city on their way to the reception site.

Inside the main hall of the reception, giant, deep red lampshades were suspended over the dance floor, and soft, oversized square ottomans gave the space a club-like feel. The long, rectangular tables were decorated with lush floral and fruit-filled centerpieces, and complemented by tall, lush green topiaries.

Dinner began with a cold lobster salad followed by a main course of filet mignon and risotto.

Elizabeth and Kevin are no strangers to a fast-paced lifestyle -- they do, after all, live in New York. Elizabeth tends to keep long hours, and Kevin works on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. The Bride Elizabeth Sadler, 30, newspaper reporter The Groom Kevin Cryan, 30, specialist trading assistant The Date September 17 So when Kevin suggested a Fourth of July weekend getaway, Elizabeth didn’t even notice that he’d packed a champagne picnic for the beach. “I had worked until two o’clock that morning, so I was exhausted and totally oblivious,” she remembers. When they arrived at Flying Point Beach (the same beach where Kevin’s parents got engaged), Kevin suggested a walk along the ocean. A few steps later, he got down on one knee and asked Elizabeth to be his wife.
