Corina designed a playful backdrop for photos and had it custom-made. In front, they placed a cozy white couch, and Thomas's brother set up his professional photo equipment to take the pictures.

For a pop of color against his navy suit (and to match his bright tie and pocket square), Thomas wore a magenta and green boutonniere of a single lady's slipper orchid, berries and celosia.

Corina's one floral request: nothing too traditional. Her bouquet was an asymmetrical mix of peonies, orchids, and purple and green berries.

Corina & Thomas in Rancho Santa Fe, CA

The Bride Corina, 28, an interior designer The Groom Thomas, 30 and a business professional The Date July 31 From the start, Corina and Thomas wanted an outdoor wedding with a tented reception -- and to surprise their guests with lots of color. With "enchanting" as their buzzword, the couple used lots of vertical designs (to draw the eye upward). Two standout details: fabric hanging from the tree under which they exchanged vows and a high-peaked reception tent with suspended centerpieces.
