Jon and his groomsmen wore tan-colored, two-button, single-breasted tuxedos by Stephen Geoffrey. While the groomsmen donned coordinating pink or green ties to match the bridesmaid dresses, the groom wore a pink and green–striped tie to unite the look.

Hai's maid of honor and three bridesmaids picked their own pink or green dresses by Ann Taylor Celebration, paired with a coordinating sash. Coincidentally, they all chose strapless knee-length dresses.

Since the church where their ceremony was held was small and charming on its own, the couple opted for only lighted candles at the altar.

Hai made the escort cards, which featured a bird stamp in various colors (the color signified the guest's main entree choice).  She then tied it all together with a matching ribbon and secured a longer ribbon around the cards using a clothespin for a creative and imaginative display.

The tabletop decorations consisted of two different arrangements. One was a partially submerged orchid in a tall vase topped with a carnation ball; the other was a small, modern floral arrangement that incorporated the pink and green color scheme.

Christmas lights strung with Chinese lanterns of various sizes and colors peppered the entire reception site.

The couple cut into a three-tiered chocolate cake with Baileys Irish cream and lemon-raspberry fillings, adorned with pink flowers, pink birds, and green bamboo stalks.

Hai and Jon shared their first dance to "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel.  A DJ then spun tunes for the newlyweds and their guests as they danced the night away.

Hai and Jon's guests took home frosted pink or green take-out boxes filled with color-coordinated Jelly Belly beans and a wrapped fortune cookie dipped in white or green chocolate with red or pink sprinkles. The boxes were decorated with personalized bird labels and ribbon.

During their courtship, Hai and Jon enjoyed going to a local movie theater that also featured a bar area with board games. "He suggested we play chess before the beginning of the movie, despite the fact that I don’t know how to play," she recalls. "And Jon was so nervous that he actually dropped the chess set and broke a piece!" When they finally got the game under way, Jon asked Hai, "What should my next move be?" Then he got down on one knee and proposed. "It was cute and cheesy at the same time," says Hai. "Needless to say, we missed the movie!"
