Jane and Rush wed in the church that she’d grown up attending. The church’s flower guild made all of the arrangements for the wedding, decorating the space with a variety of pink and white blooms.

The couple’s florist decorated the cake with pink and purple blooms to match the wedding’s color palette. The white cake was frosted with buttercream and included raspberry filling.

Oysters have long been considered a food that inspires romance, and Jane and Rush would have to agree. Though Jane and Rush had met once or twice a few years before, the two didn’t really click until they ran into each other at Oysterfest in Atlanta. “About a month later, Rush managed to track my phone number down and called and asked me to meet him for a drink,” Jane says. The Bride Jane Knox, 30, alumni director The Groom Rush Barrett, 35, real estate agent The Date February 17 Nearly a year-and-a-half later the couple was visiting Jane’s family in South Carolina when they started flipping through old family photo albums. “After a few minutes Rush got down on one knee, brought out the ring, and proposed,” Jane says. The pair exchanged vows seven months later in the same church that the bride had grown up attending.
