"We wanted colors that wouldn't compete with the natural scenery around us," says Jennifer. Soft hues of pink, brown and green were perfect complements. Jennifer's and Gregg's sisters and the flower girls, the couple's nieces, fit right in with the color scheme wearing pink, taffeta Ann Taylor dresses.

Jennifer and Gregg love the outdoors, so they chose a large plot of land, belonging to Gregg’s parents, surrounded by national forests. The guests, many of whom had never been to Colorado (Gregg’s an Illinois native), were welcome to hike, bike and camp on the property.

For a Colorado touch, sections of aspen log secured the escort cards that Gregg, a pro designer, created himself. Each table was named after national forests the couple had visited.

As the owner of Lulof's Design and Art Direction, Gregg was able to put his own personal touch on the wedding stationery, including the menu cards. The menus detailed the local foods the couple chose, including Colorado favorites like bison and trout.

Just as Jennifer was thinking it couldn’t get any better, it did. "Gregg got down on one knee, pulled out the most beautiful ring I had ever seen and asked if I would marry him," she says. It turned out that Gregg had been planning the proposal for weeks, even though the couple never really talked about getting married. Gregg even hosted a secret dinner to reveal his plan to Jennifer’s family and friends! They planned the whole wedding, filled with Colorado details and stationery Gregg designed, in the last four months of their two-year engagement.
