Each of Joni's four bridesmaids wore a honeydew-hued V-neck dress by Jim Hjelm. The maids also wore a custom-designed silk sash that boasted a cotton boll design and matched the groomsmen's bowties.

Joni donned a spaghetti-strap gown with a dropped waist and scalloped lace edging. The back of her gown created a V-shape leading to a row of buttons that ran down the dress and onto the sweep train.

For her "something blue," Joni had her open-toe sandals dyed a light blue color.

Similar to the invitations, the square programs were thermographically printed in dark brown with the couple's monogram embossed at the top.

Tall vases filled with white flowers and accented with turkey feathers were set up at each reception table, with antique mason jars and tealights surrounding the centerpieces.

Joni and Chip cut into a four-tiered buttercream cake that was frosted in pale blue and decorated with their monogram. Inside, the cake was made of white cake, pound cake, and key lime.

Joni and Chip hit the dance floor for the first time to Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon." Afterward, Joni and her dad danced to Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl," and Chip and his mother joined in at the end.

Guests tossed white flower petals as the newlyweds made their escape at the end of the evening.

After graduation, Joni emailed her friend from design class, Chip, about starting a mentoring program at their alma mater. Although the mentoring program didn't get off the ground, their relationship did. The Bride Joni Harrison, 27, product designer The Groom Charles (Chip) Lay, 26, designer The Date November 3 A year-and-a-half later, Joni came home to her apartment to find a love letter and a rose petal trail, which led her outdoors to where Chip was waiting. There, he gave her another letter -- a proposal with an engagement ring tied to the card. For their rustic, elegant outdoor wedding, the couple chose Joni's father's Ellaville farm. The wide-open field created a natural ceremony site, and a metal shed decked out with chandeliers and curtains was the perfect reception setup.
