Julie and Eric displayed their escort cards on a bed of wheatgrass. The cards were ivory with lime and chocolate writing and included the couple’s monogram on the back.

Julie and Eric cut a three-tiered square cake frosted in ivory with a ribbon of chocolate around each tier. The base the cake stood on was covered in bamboo, “giving it a modern feel,” the bride says.

Julie and Eric met Julie’s first year at Oklahoma State, and the two quickly became friends. After graduation, Eric moved to Dallas, while Julie moved to London. Three years later, Julie moved back, and, she says, “there was no denying that we were meant to be together.” Still, she had no idea that Eric was going to propose.
