Julie Grace walked down the aisle in a Monique Lhuillier ensemble, which featured an ivory, lace, cap-sleeve jacket, and an hourglass skirt, teamed with a wide, champagne, satin sash. She finished her look with a single-tiered veil.

Ramsey designed their programs using graphic elements that tied them together with the invitations. The programs were printed using a vertical layout and were joined at the top right corner so that they fanned open.

“We loved the San Fernando Mission for its architecture and old world, vintage, Spanish beauty,” Julie says. The ceremony space features dark wooden beams, distressed flooring, and distressed, dark wood pews with an elaborate altar.

For a unique take on the guest book, Julie and Ramsey’s friends and family signed paper “leaves” and hung them on a six-foot-tall tree.

The menus, which Ramsey had designed, were tucked into folded napkins and complemented by a single kangaroo paw. The table numbers, also designed by Ramsey, were displayed in clear, acrylic, magnetic frames.

The three-tiered cake was decorated with wine-colored ribbon and burgundy orchids. One tier was chocolate cake with chocolate mousse, another featured marble cake with chocolate mouse, and the last had white chiffon and Bavarian cream filled with fresh strawberries.

The couple gave their guests engraved, olive wood jewelry boxes with a monogram created by Ramsey. The boxes were made and engraved by the couple’s relatives and imported from the Nassar Olive Wood Factory in Bethlehem, Israel. Each box was filled with Jordan almonds and wrapped with tulle.

When Julie Grace and Ramsey met at a church festival 16 years ago, neither could have guessed the huge role they’d play in each other’s lives -- or the role that very same festival would play in their engagement. After Julie Grace and Ramsey began dating, they kept attending the festival where they’d met every year. The Bride Julie Grace Paras, 30, physician’s assistant The Groom Ramsey Nassar, 34, design manager The Date September 30 Fifteen years later, the couple was at the festival again, but this time Ramsey had been in touch with its planning committee. After he was called on stage with a group of Irish step dancers, Ramsey asked Julie Grace to join him, and there he proposed. “She said yes,” Ramsey says, “and the Rolling Stones probably never had such an uproarious cheer like the one we received!”
