Kate got more than she bargained for when she bought a silky terrier puppy shortly after moving from Dallas to Seattle. The couple she bought the dog from thought she'd be perfect for their son, Jake, who had just returned to Seattle after spending five years in the Marine Corps. The Bride Kate Piacenti, 27, executive compensation associate The Groom Jake King, 27, sales associate The Date August 9 Being new the city, Kate was glad to hang out with Jake, and they immediately felt a connection. Even though they fell in love in Seattle, Kate couldn't imagine getting married anywhere but her home state of Texas. So when Jake proposed on Thanksgiving after Kate prepared a meal for the two of them in her apartment, a Dallas wedding was soon in the works.
