Kate's exotic bouquet combined different shapes and textures with blooms such as orchids, scabiosa, and spider mums in an explosion of orange and white. It was hand-tied with a black and white ribbon.

Bridesmaids carried large lime green spider mums and white scabiosa tied with madras-patterned dupioni ribbon in orange, yellow and green.

A scattering of white and orange rose petals decorated the aisle and two large urns overflowing with wild, tropical blooms flanked each side of the altar. The couple chose to personalize their ceremony by writing their own vows.

The newlyweds chose "Could I Have this Dance" by Anne Murray to honor Kate's late grandparents; it had been their song. Dance lessons helped the bride and groom perfect a waltz.

Guests received boxes with chocolate and blonde mini brownies from the couple's favorite bakery. The brownies were wrapped in tangerine tissue paper and placed in white boxes tied with a variety of black and white ribbons.

As a weather broadcaster, Kate, couldn't have forecasted a better proposal from Scott, whom she met two years prior on her first day of work. The Bride Kate Bilo, 26, weather broadcaster The Groom Scott Eby, 30, software developer The Date August 31 On Christmas Eve, Scott showed up while Kate was delivering the Seattle forecast on air. Instead of seeing the next day's forecast on screen, up popped a picture of the couple along with the words, "Katie, will you marry me?" Scott then jumped in front of the camera making his words come to life with an on-air proposal! After she said yes, Scott took Kate to her favorite Japanese place to celebrate. Soon, an end-of-summer wedding with a casual but elegant vibe was in the works.
