The couple tied the knot at St. Ignatius Loyola, a Catholic church located on Park Avenue. The church is so ornate that little adornment was needed save for a few white floral arrangements.

Kimberly’s four bridesmaids wore eggplant, silk charmeuse, V-neck dresses with strappy gold sandals. They kept the look casual with loose ponytails and gold, pearl drop necklaces.

Kimberly wanted something romantic and feminine for her blooms and chose cream-colored peonies and roses with a splash of purple hydrangea.

Menus were tucked inside folded napkins at each place setting. The menus were printed on ivory card stock and featured an elegant eggplant monogram.

When Kimberly was talked into making the trek from Long Island into the city one night by her friends, she never thought she'd meet her future husband. That night, Chris, who had also been dragged out by his friends, was in the same situation. The Bride Kimberly Koehler, 26, cosmetics buyer The Groom Christopher Plaford, 29, financial trader The Date May 20 When Kimberly walked up to the bar to get a drink, Christopher offered to buy it. "I thought for sure he had no interest in me, despite the fact he asked for my number," Kimberly says. To her surprise, Christopher called two days later and asked her out on a date that night. Five years later, Christopher whisked Kimberly away to Mexico and proposed on the beach.
