Lauren carried a bouquet of ivory peonies, light green hydrangeas, ivory and dark pink–edged Rossini roses, green viburnum, and pink spray roses. “My favorite part about my bouquet is that it was wrapped with a piece from my dress' sash, so it coordinated perfectly and made a special keepsake,” Lauren says.

The bride wore a strapless, A-line gown with a pick-up skirt accented with a honeydew-colored satin sash by Jasmine Couture.

Lauren wore patent leather peep-toes with a small heel and a small, patent leather bow. “They went perfectly with the style of my dress and were comfortable,” Lauren says.

Lauren’s 13 bridesmaids wore honeydew-colored dresses with spaghetti straps, V-necks, and pleated chiffon skirts by B2.

Rather than simply list the order of events, the programs included whimsical illustrations to describe when the cocktails, dinner, and dancing would take place.

The couple exchanged vows on the lawn at the Madison Oaks Inn. White wooden chairs were set up for guests and ivory and pink rose petals were scattered along the aisle.

In lieu of a guest book, Lauren and Mike asked their guests to snap a Polaroid of themselves and jot a note to the newlyweds at the bottom of the photo.

Tables were topped with two types of centerpieces. Some vases were composed of green apples with hot pink hydrangeas and birch branches, while moss-filled vases displayed the bridesmaid bouquets.

The couple spruced up their tented reception space at Madison Oaks Inn with ivory tulle and mini white lights.

“Mike surprised me two months prior to our wedding by hiring a dance instructor to choreograph our first dance,” Lauren says. The couple impressed their guests by doing a two-step to “Will You Go With Me” by Josh Turner.

“I love cake, but I especially love cupcakes,” Lauren says. Three flavors of cupcakes were displayed on moss-covered tiers: Spanish lemon, red velvet, and chocolate Kahlua.

Mike must be a big proponent of second chances. When he and Lauren were set up on a blind date by mutual friends, Mike called an hour beforehand to tell Lauren that he wouldn’t be able to make it. Lauren’s friend who’d initiated the setup told her to give Mike another chance if he asked her out again, “which is really the only reason I said ‘yes’ when he did call me back one week later,” Lauren says. The Bride Lauren Colclasure, 26, program director The Groom Michael (Mike) Lefevre, 29, pastor The Date April 21 The two hit it off over lunch, and Mike really won Lauren over by surprising her with a pair of rollerblades on their next date. Mike proposed seven months later, and the couple soon began planning a wedding in Madison.
