Lydia & Tony in Brant Beach, NJ

Tony was arguing with a flight attendant about his seat assignment until he locked eyes with Lydia, who was sitting in the seat next to his. The Bride Lydia Mendoza, 26, middle school math teacher The Groom Tony DiGiovanni, 30, high school history teacher The Date May 12 Lydia was returning home to Florida after a job interview in New Jersey, and Tony was on vacation with his family. He gladly took his seat, and the pair spent the rest of the flight exchanging music and chatting. They traded phone numbers but didn’t meet again until Lydia moved up to New Jersey to accept the job she had interviewed for. Her new home was now only 20 minutes away from Tony’s. They soon began dating and got married at the Jersey shore three years later.
