Mai-An chose the dark teal hue of her bridesmaid dresses because it fit the summer season but was still formal. Her seven bridesmaids wore strapless, satin, A-line dresses with a contrasting sash and half-bow in back. Though the dresses came with brooches, the bride chose to take them off to give them a "clean and simple look."

The ruffles down the back of her gown reminded Mai-An of a gardenia, so she had a custom-designed gardenia motif created for all of the stationery. It graced all of the couple's paper goods, including their table numbers.

Mai-An and Ben met in high school. "He won me over with his humor and positive attitude," recalls Mai-An. "That hasn't changed one bit, and I hope it never will." The Bride Mai-An Pham, 28, dentist The Groom Ben Giang, 30, dentist The Date July 14 Years later, Mai-An had just finished dental school and Ben was still attending, so they promised to give each other small Christmas gifts. Ben gave Mai-An a scrapbook filled with mementos of their last ten years -- and on the final page it read,"Will you marry me?" Mai-An was incredibly surprised and happy. The couple soon began planning a wedding in their hometown of Dallas, where many of their friends and family members still live.
