Melanie & Hernani: A Colorful Wedding in Pasadena, CA

Melanie and Hernani are both designers, so an unconventional and bold palette fit their aesthetics. Shades of orange and pink and all the colors in between (seen here in the wedding programs) set the whimsical mood they sought to create.

Melanie and Hernani included several Filipino wedding traditions in their Catholic ceremony. Says Melanie, "Our wedding party was so large [there were 23 attendants!], Father Gallagher joked that he had never seen a longer procession."

Music added an additional twist. For their first dance, Melanie and Hernani began with a slow dance, burst into a cha-cha, moved on to a disco routine, then a hip-hop number, before finally hitting the cha-cha and the slow dance again.
