"We strove to bring an L.A. or NYC lounge atmosphere and coolness to the mountains," says Jesse. Giant white paper lanterns, papered walls, and plush lounge beds helped to create the chic experience the couple wanted their guests to enjoy.

Submerged bundles of orchids and calla lilies were placed in clear vases on the tables. White floating and votive candles along with black pebbles on the tables added the feel of fire and water to the couple's earthy theme.

The pair chose to keep the ceremony decor minimal and to marry on a ranch nestled in the mountains of Colorado, where the natural beauty of fall could take over.

Melissa and Jesse decided to have an "East meets West" theme for their fall wedding because their guest list was bicoastal and their wedding site was on the Continental Divide. Pumpkin orange, cherry red, and chocolate brown highlights helped to make their fall-inspired color palette complete.

Melissa and Jesse mixed a little business with pleasure when they fell in love while making a documentary film together. Little did Melissa know that Jesse was smitten long before then. "We had a symbiotic relationship from the beginning," says Jesse. "I fell in love with her a year earlier during a brief meeting we had about another project." The Bride Melissa Kennedy, 33, television producer The Groom Jesse Morrow, 34, film and VFX editor The Date September 8 Jesse proposed to Melissa at Fantasy Fest in Key West, Florida, while they were both in costume, surrounded by hundreds of fellow partygoers. Onlookers showered them with Mardi Gras beads when Melissa said yes. Over the next four years, the pair carefully planned their destination wedding in the mountains.
