Nicole & Leonard: A Fairytale Wedding in Fort Worth, TX

Nicole honored her mother by accenting her own wedding gown with straight lace restored from her mother's 1969 gown. Nicole designed the white silk satin gown in collaboration with dressmaker Judy Shannon who did all of the restoration work on the lace from her mother's gown and handcrafted the updated gown, veil, and tiara.

"Sandy Chang bakes the most moist vanilla buttercream cake I have ever tasted," Nicole raves. "She created a simple, stacked box-style cake, and made the boxes have 'lids' which she decorated in a contemporary pattern suggestive of lace."

Following the ceremony, Nicole and Leonard, arrived in a horse-drawn carriage at the River Crest Country Club where 250 guests enjoyed a poolside cocktail reception and the music of a classical guitarist.

The walk down the long, dramatic aisle at the All Saints' Episcopal Church was highlighted by the stained-glass windows, arched ceilings, and a plethora of candles, which gave the traditional structure a cozy feel. "Joseph, our photographer, had this wonderful idea to set up a 'self-portrait' area where guests could pose in front of a colorful background (pink, of course) and step on a button on the floor to auto-fire the camera. These were some of the funniest shots of the night!" Nicole says.

Suspended from the ceiling above the dance floor, invisible monofilament strings clustered with pink peony petals were lit and appeared to cascade down as guests danced underneath to big-band sounds.
