Shelby & Clint in Alpharetta, GA

Growing up in the close-knit town of Alpharetta, Shelby often ran into Clint at football games and other school events, but being three years younger, they never exchanged more than a few words. When Clint went to visit friends in Athens, the last person he expected to run into was Shelby, who was attending college there at the time. He asked for her number and a few nights later he took her to Pastis in Roswell for dinner followed by dancing. The Bride Shelby Johnson, 27, high school teacher The Groom Clinton "Clint" Elliott, 30, construction general manager The Date June 30 After two and a half years of dating, Shelby expected that a proposal might be in the works. So, when Clint whisked her away for a romantic night at the Twelve Hotel at Atlantic Station and a showing of Cirque du Soleil, she was suspicious. Her instincts were correct. When they returned to their hotel room there was a bottle of champagne, a bouquet of flowers and a proposal. Set on a summer wedding, they spent the next six months planning it.
