Stephanie and Nick's holiday wedding featured splashes of seasonal red and a gourmet menu prepared by the groom's father. The Bride Stephanie Trotter, 21-year-old student The Groom Nicholas (Nick) Kaslly, a 21-year-old lance corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps The Date December 29 It took a mellow attitude and a lot of faith to get Stephanie, and Nick down the aisle. Though the two met at Oakland University, Nick joined the Marines a year into their courtship and was attending infantry school when he proposed. They had to schedule their wedding around Nick’s leave time, which wasn’t confirmed until a week before their wedding date. “You can imagine the nightmares,” Stephanie jokes. “A teleconference wedding, a videoconference wedding, a poster of Nick for the groom -- they were all running through my head.” But their day went off without a hitch, and the two married at the same church where Stephanie had been baptized.
