Susan and Simon’s simple ceremony took place on Cherry Hill in Central Park. Guests stood and formed a horseshoe shape around the couple as they said their vows. The only addition to the scenery was a large red parasol, which blended nicely with the fall leaves.

Instead of placing a dance floor in the center of the room, Susan and Simon decided to create a pond as the focal point. The pond was decorated with nine-foot-tall bamboo stalks, floating orchids, and red lanterns.

Susan & Simon in New York, NY

On a particular trip to Hong Kong, Susan awoke one morning to find Simon offering her a pair of diamond earrings -- which made her wonder if he had been out shopping for other pieces of diamond jewelry. Her suspicions were happily confirmed when Simon proposed at Peak Tower. The Bride Susan Denner, 38, clothing designer The Groom Simon Lee, 34, venture capitalist The Date November 12 Susan and Simon ultimately decided on New York City's Central Park for their ceremony and the grandiose Gotham Hall for the reception. “The richness of the hall’s red and gold was captivating and conducive to an Asian-themed wedding,” says Susan.
