The Christian wedding ceremony was held in the lodge's Great Room, which, with its soaring ceilings and tall glass windows, has a cathedral-like sense of grandeur. On her way down the aisle, Suzanne's cathedral-length wedding veil got snagged on an air-conditioning vent, causing a brief de-tangling pause in the procession.

The couple dated "on and off for four years," according to Suzanne, before Jack proposed by surprising her with roses, candles, and a big pile of wedding magazines. In the nine months that followed, Suzanne and her mom put together a wedding for 250 guests, mostly relying on the advice of recently married friends.
