Sparks flew among the fleece inside a California Patagonia store, where Aimee and Tom first met. The outdoor lovers were working in L.A. at the time and arranged to meet for coffee on Valentine’s Day. Exactly one year later, Tom whisked Aimee away to celebrate with a surprise trip to the Colorado slopes! The Bride Aimee Sadle, 35, designer The Groom Thomas (Tom) Brainard, 33, entrepreneur The Date May 25 The couple coincidentally ended up on a ski run called “Hook Up,” when Tom took off his skis and got down on one knee, sinking in waist-deep powder, to propose. Of course, Aimee said yes! The couple decided to move back to Tom’s home state of Colorado to plan their spring wedding high in the Rockies, where they got engaged.
