The seven bridesmaids wore dupioni silk dresses in apple green with cloud blue accents by Saeyoung Vu Couture. Each attendant chose a different style of dress. Wendy’s three nieces served as flower girls and donned dresses from Talbot’s Kids.

The couple opted for a traditional Episcopalian ceremony that was performed in the historic church Wendy has attended since childhood. Wendy and Jim also chose to recite traditional vows. “We wanted to say the same vows people have been saying for years,” she says.

The cocktail hour was held on the country club’s lawn and large porch, which was decorated with green and white paper lanterns.

The 150 guests then moved inside for the green-hued reception. Table centerpieces were comprised of white peonies, Green Mist, white stock, white hydrangeas, and white roses. The couple also decorated alcoves of the room by filling birdbaths with cascading moss.

Wendy and James (Jim) first met at a mutual friend’s birthday party. After five years of dating, Jim decided to pop the question. The Bride Wendy Capute, 31, senior account executive The Groom James Collins Jr. (Jim), 30, director of mergers and acquisitions The Date June 17 After dinner at the same restaurant where they’d gone on their first date, he brought Wendy back to her apartment and presented her with a beautiful cushion-cut diamond engagement ring.
