What You Need
  • 6 Earl Grey tea bags
  • sugar
  • crushed ice
  • gin or vodka
  • juice from 2 lemons
  • a few pinches of saffron, to garnish (optional)

How to Make It
  • Steep the tea bags in 200ml just-boiled water for 4 minutes, adding sugar and stirring until dissolved. Remove the tea bags. Fill up to 500ml with cold water and refrigerate for an hour, or longer if you have time. Add gin (or vodka) and lemon juice to taste. Add crushed ice. Serve in a teacup or glass. For an added punch, add saffron to each shot.
