If you're a lovely Latina bride-to-be, use these pointers to make the most of your assets and combat common makeup problems so you can look your best on your big day.

Finding Foundation

Latina women often have yellow-orange undertones to their complexion. For the most even coverage, look for yellow-orange foundations and tinted moisturizer to match your skin tone. If your skin has a slightly green cast in the winter -- a common frustration for Latinas -- a deep bronzing powder will give you a warm, tanned look. Don't forget to apply a pop of color on the apples of your cheeks. Remember that rosy colors -- not oranges -- work best in counteracting green.

Choosing Your Colors

Think about applying a shot of bright color somewhere on your face, but not everywhere. Avoid fuchsias and jewel tones, and keep things smoky with deep, rich hues -- shades in the wine, plum, deep pink, and rose families are your best options for cheeks and lips. Play up your eyes with colors in the sable, cocoa, and mahogany families.

Makeup, Then Kiss

The lips are the obvious place to go for glamour. Many Hispanic women naturally have a beautiful dark color to their lips, so deep lipsticks look quite lovely. You can also play with the finish: Go for a little more sparkle by layering a shimmer or gloss on top of a matte lip color. And while softer lipstick tones will also look great on you, it's best to avoid brights, like oranges, and corals.
